MOTHER NATURE NATALIE MACMASTER SERIESThey have performed on the Huntsville Festival of the Arts summer concerts, and in a series of concerts held at the home of the Huntsville Suzuki School of Music, Bethel Church, and at the Huntsville Public Library. In the short time they have been together they have performed some of the greatest quartets including those of Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Schubert, Dvorak, Ravel, and Barber. Together they have formed a convivial, intergenerational string quartet, a harmonious combination of musical backgrounds and experience. Behn Strople, a violist, and Daniel Dennis, cellist, it turned out, were also eager to play chamber music. Philip Kashap, violin teacher and Director of the Huntsville Suzuki School of Music, and his wife Martha, also a violinist, were pleasantly surprised to find a violist and a cellist in Huntsville. The Huntsville String Quartet, or the HSQ, had its first rehearsal in the winter of 2020. ![]()
